Pink Dew™ Gel Cleanser

Another winner
Summer Fridays is quickly becoming my one of my favorite skin care brands. I'm using 3 products from different lines of theirs and they all play well together (Jet lag, Midnight ritual, and now the Pink Dew gel.) If I'm wearing makeup, I use micellar water first to remove that then lather a bit of this up all over to finish cleansing. It smells heavenly, lathers just right, removes oily residue, rinses clean and doesn't leave a tight feeling like me feeling like I need to immediately run for moisturizer. If I'm not wearing eye makeup- maybe just tinted moisturizer - this works great alone. I happily skip the micellar water. All around great cleanser that I'm definitely going to have to hide so it doesn't get used by everyone else in the house!!

Strong scent but works well
I was a little surprised that this cleanser had so much fragrance to it. It kind of reminded me of cotton candy or just a sweet scent. It wasn’t bad, but it was quite strong. The cleaner still works really well, it lathered up well, left my skin feeling refreshed, and stripped my face from bad oils. It’s a foaming face wash that has a gel consistency, so I liked the amount of lather that it had. It’s advertised to be for people with oily skin and I think that is accurate because it’s really helped even out my pores and make them look visibly clearer. I really like the Summer Fridays brand as they always advertise true to the benefits that they provide. I will definitely repurchase this face wash after it’s out as long as it continues to work for me!

I Used This After Dermaplaning… No Irritation
I have sensitive skin, so I’m always a little cautious trying new cleansers. The first time I used this was right after dermaplaning, which is usually a recipe for irritation, so I wasn’t sure I’d be giving it a fair shot. But to my surprise, it was incredibly gentle. No burning, no irritation, and no dryness. The texture is a gel, and once you add water, it turns into a light, airy foam. A little really does go a long way. You only need a small amount to cleanse your whole face. It does have a scent. It’s sweet and a little floral, but it didn’t bother my skin at all. That said, if you’re sensitive to fragrance or prefer something completely unscented, this might not be your favorite. As far as performance, it does a great job removing the day’s buildup and makeup without making my skin feel stripped. My skin feels clean and soft afterward, but not tight or “squeaky.” I still moisturize after, but I don’t feel like I have to rush to do it right away, which tells me it’s not disrupting my skin barrier. Overall, I think this is a great option if you have oily or blemish-prone skin but don’t like harsh, stripping cleansers. It feels balanced, gentle, and easy to use. And honestly, the packaging is really cute on the counter too.

Lovely face wash!
I am obsessed with this cleanser. It smells so nice - almost like a lightly scented cotton candy. It is super gentle, but it is also a really effective cleanser. My skin feels nice and clean and bouncy after washing. Moisturized, but still clean feeling. I would absolutely repurchase this. It is a huge sized bottle for the price!

very well made
I like this cleanser quite a bit. It is a foaming gel cleanser that cleans very thoroughly while still leaving the skin feeling smooth rather than stripped. The texture was a little surprising at first. The gel is thinner than many cleansers and is actually sloshable inside the tube. Because of that, it is easy to dispense more than you need if you open the cap while the tube is pointed downward. I found it works best to open it with the cap facing upward. A small amount goes a long way. The cleanser lathers very quickly once it is mixed with water. I had the best results lathering it in my hands first as directed and then applying the foam to my face. That makes it easier to control the amount and spread it evenly. In use, the cleansing power is strong. It gives that squeaky clean feeling that settles into a smooth finish after rinsing. My skin felt refreshed rather than tight or dry, which can sometimes happen with stronger foaming cleansers. The size I received is the smaller 1.7 oz tube, which is travel size. A larger full size tube is also available. Because the formula is fairly thin, a pump bottle might actually have been a little easier to control than a squeeze tube, but once you get used to using a small amount it works well. Overall this feels like a well made gel cleanser in the upper mid tier of the market. It performs very well, lathers easily, and leaves skin feeling clean and refreshed without being harsh.

Big fan of this cleanser
I'm pretty happy with this cleanser. I like that it's on the larger size at 5 oz. I do think at $28 it is a little bit pricey but you really don't need a lot of this cleanser for it to work. I take a piece size amount and go from there because this pink dew gel cleanser foams very easily. I do feel like it cleaned my skin very well without over stripping it or making it feel dry. I do have combination skin that leans more towards oily and I found that it did help my oily skin a bit. Probably because it is a hydrating cleanser and it was putting moisture back into my face. I think that this is probably one of the gentler cleansers that I've ever used and I really like it. If you have oily skin and sensitive skin like I do I recommend it.
