Gentle on my skin
I’ve been a fan of Summer Fridays for a while now but I hadn’t tried this Midnight Ritual Retinol Renewal Serum before… until now. And just as I had expected, it’s a quality product. The bottle pump is simple to use and dispenses easily. No strong smells and the cream is easy to spread. I like how well it soaks into my skin and doesn’t leave a greasy feeling behind. And a big one for me is that my skin doesn’t have any kind of a bad reaction to using it. Plus it helps my skin feel moisturized and more rejuvenated rather than dry and tight. Overall I’m really glad I had the chance to order and try this Summer Fridays Midnight Ritual Retinol Renewal Serum. It’s been effective so far, but I’m expecting more good things to come the longer I keep using it.

I also appreciate that it’s unscented, which is a big plus if you are sensitive to fragrances or prefer fragrance-free skincare products. It absorbs quickly into the skin without leaving any sticky or greasy residue, and a little goes a long way. Most importantly, I have not experienced any irritation, even with regular use. It keeps my skin moisturized throughout the night, and I wake up with baby-soft skin in the morning. Fine line improvement
I have tried other retinol serums and haven't noticed any difference in my skin, so kind of gave up on them. This is the first one I've used that I see a noticeable difference in the in the fine lines around my eyes. I started off with every other day as directed, but didn't have any irritation so quickly jumped up to nightly which is where I noticed the most difference. It has a lightweight feel, absorbs quickly (which is great for multi-step skincare routines so I'm not stuck waiting to be able to layer it), and the scent is super light as well. I do layer this with a moisturizer which probably helps with reducing irritation, but I can't say for sure as I haven't tried it just on it's own. This is a small bottle, but it only takes a few pumps nightly so I expect it to last me a couple months, making the higher price tag not so bad.

The texture is like a lightweight, silky, cream and serum hybrid that applies super smooth, cushiony, and comfortable on my skin, not watery or filmy or harsh at all. It melts into my skin and layers well with my other skincare products.

This Summer Fridays creamy serum is a must for people who want a gentle, effective, simplified skin care with high quality ingredients. I love their products, so I was excited to try this. I forgot that niacinamide doesn't play nice with my skin though. That really sucks for me because so many people swear by it- but it makes me flush. I think anyone who experiences redness should see if that might be the culprit - it's pretty common and not specific to this product. But, all was not lost. There was no way I was going to waste this. I convinced my mom (who is in her 60's and not really a "skin care and makeup" type gal) to try it. Hah! She admitted I was right! She's been using it for a month and you can literally see the glow. She's had no irritation at all, just slightly faded sun spots and plumped up skin in the morning. I should mention that she is religious about sunscreen and does not have sensitive or acne prone skin. I'd describe her type as aging, and normal to dry. Overall, excellent product. I love their jet lag line and will keep using that. She will be re-ordering this.
